Cabin Fever Weekend

February 15 @ 7:00 pm - February 17 @ 3:00 pm

Come join us for Cabin Fever Weekend. It’s time to climb out of hibernation and into the frosted forest for a weekend of skiing, sledding, steaming hot cider and so much more. Swallows Lodge and the Farmhouse will be warm and ready for you. You’ll get to enjoy delicious CPC family-style locally-sourced meals. Cabin Fever Weekend is dedicated to rest, fun, and togetherness. It’s also a great way for new people to get acquainted with Circle Pines Center. The trails will be available for skiing, snow shoeing or hiking. We’ll fire up the wood-burning sauna by the lake and offer outdoor activities everyday for the adventurers among us with plenty of cozy alternatives for our more home-bodied friends. The event is open to people of all ages. Come enjoy winter out in the country, playing in the snow or curled up beside a woodstove. Bring your family, some friends, a good book, a musical instrument, your cross-country skis, snowshoes and sleds. It’s Valentine’s weekend. Come solo or bring your partner and enjoy Circle Pines in the winter.

    Hi,
I’m really interested in bringing my family for the cabin fever weekend, but I’d like to confirm before booking that it begins on Friday, Feb 15 at 7pm. The dates listed above are inconsistent, I’m sure it’s just a typo, but I wanted to make sure. Also, I’m curious, do families with young kids stay in the in the shared room lodging often? My kids are 3 and 6 and I like for the 3yo to be able to go to bed by 8ish with it too much interruption….
    Thanks for any answers,
    Jessi

      Hi Jessica,

Cabin Fever Weekend does indeed begin on Friday at 7PM EST. People do have their children in their rooms. It is a dorm-style lodge with so your co-campers will try to be conscious that your kids might be sleeping at night and if your kids are early risers they’ll have to be conscious that others may be sleeping in the morning. On the registration form for this weekend you get to choose a sliding scale cost per person for a shared room. It should calculate for kids at half price. If a single person wanted to have a private room, it is a flat rate of $60. The rate for your group will be flexible for more or less than that based on what you would like to contribute. You can contact the office at 269-623-5555 or reply if you have any other questions. See you soon.
